MyCSIR
MyCSIR is a collaborative project developed by the HumanTech Institute, the School of Social Work of Fribourg, and the CSIR (Centre Social d’Intégration des Réfugiés). This project aims to digitize and automate administrative processes for refugees, creating accessible exchanges between end users and professionals at the CSIR.
Project Overview
MyCSIR simplifies complex administrative forms with user-friendly language, thanks to collaboration with the Association Lire et Écrire. The web interface enables users to communicate seamlessly with professionals while completing simplified, digitized forms. Key features of the platform include:
- Requests for social welfare benefits or study grants facilitated via the website.
- Messaging functionality for direct communication with social workers and case managers.
- A help section with useful links and guidance to assist users in navigating the system.
This digital transformation is designed to improve access and usability for a broad audience, while allowing complex, human-driven decisions to remain in the hands of CSIR professionals.
The MyCSIR project combines the efforts of developers, researchers, language specialists, CSIR professionals, and affected users to create a participatory digital tool. This approach aims to raise awareness among social educators about the benefits of user-participatory projects for effective social integration.
Impact and Future Development
Numerous tests have been conducted with both CSIR professionals and beneficiaries to ensure the system meets the needs of all users. MyCSIR has laid the foundation for an inclusive digital transformation in public services. For future development, the project will be implemented by the Canton of Vaud, based on the prototype created during this collaboration.
